Bridges

A bridge is a way of replacing a missing tooth or teeth without using a denture. It also supports the teeth on either side of the gap left by a missing tooth.

The missing tooth is replaced by a false one that is permanently fixed to one or two of the adjacent teeth. The bridge is either held in place by crowns or by small metal wings, which are glued to the back of other teeth.

Like crowns, bridges are hand crafted to give the most lifelike and natural appearance. Once the bridge is fitted, it will usually last for many years and is difficult to distinguish from a row of natural teeth. It should look and feel like there is no missing tooth.
